ANO

ANO is the refurbishment of a house in which the timber ceiling and a new stair structure the interior. The rooms are opened up to create a continuous space that is flooded with daylight.

The warm tones of the pine floor and the exposed timber beams contrast with smooth plastered walls and a simple built-in kitchen. The project relies on a few precise interventions and a limited palette of natural materials, emphasising the qualities of the existing house rather than replacing them.
