OST18

OST18 is a housing project in the small town of Osterburg. The new buildings are arranged around a shared courtyard with trees, where children play and neighbours meet, extending the scale and structure of the surrounding low-rise houses.

The facades are clad in brick in warm red tones, a material that ties the project to the regional building tradition and ensures durability. Windows are carefully proportioned and slightly recessed, balconies are integrated into the volumes, and the landscape design uses gravel, grass and hedges to create soft transitions between private and communal areas. The project seeks a contemporary form of rural housing: compact and oriented towards community life.
