GOETHE06

GOETHE06 is a rooftop conversion in Charlottenburg combined with the addition of an external lift. The new attic storey follows the geometry of the existing mansard roof, with dormer windows that continue the vertical rhythm of the historic facade.

Inside, the attic apartment offers generous living spaces under the sloping roof, lit by the dormers and roof windows. The external lift improves the accessibility of the entire building without compromising its historic interior. The project demonstrates how old buildings can be adapted to contemporary needs with discreet, careful interventions.
