LQBDC

LQBDC is a landscape intervention that makes a hidden river valley accessible. A path zigzags down the steep, wooded hillside and leads to a wooden deck by the water, where the valley opens up and a small historic brick tunnel reappears among the reeds. A viewpoint at the top of the slope offers a wide view over the landscape.

The deck is built from simple timber elements, folded to become benches, steps and platforms that follow the edge of the water. The architecture avoids any gesture that would compete with the site: it offers only the minimum needed to walk, pause and look. By reconnecting people with a forgotten place, the project turns the landscape itself into a public space for walks, gatherings and celebrations.
